2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo Priced At $151,585

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo

We expected that the all-wheel-drive 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo would deliver on performance, and now we know that it will also deliver a knockout punch to your wallet. At $151,585 after destination, it is nearly 50 percent pricier than the stock Nissan GT-R, which begins at $103,365.

Although it is a lot more expensive than the regular 2015 Nissan GT-R, it might not seem a huge stretch for those with lots of disposable income and an appetite for cutting-edge performance. Opting for the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo bumps horsepower and torque to 600 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 55 hp and 18 lb-ft compared to the regular GT-R’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6. Handling and weight-reduction upgrades include a hollow rear anti-roll bar, custom Bilstein springs and dampers, and carbon-fiber trim. At 186 mph, exterior aerodynamic parts combine to add 220 pounds of additional downforce.

While these numbers sound borderline absurd, Nissan’s most unruly supercardoesn’t just talk the talk. According to Nissan, the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo holds the volume production car lap record at Germany’s Nürburgring racetrack, with a lap time of 7:08.679. With smashed skyscrapers and screaming citizens in its wake, Godzilla walks the walk.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo will go on sale July 31.
