Chief among those challenges is that doctors still can’t say how long or effective Schumacher’s recovery will be, assuming there are no complications from his awakening and he has no serious lingering trauma. Regardless, the driver will suffer “confusion” and live through a “period of lethargy” even if he comes through unscathed. (For a full rundown of what Schumacher might expect to go through during this process, be sure to read how our Road & Track colleague Robin Warner pulled through a similar injury.) We’re pulling for the seven-time F1 world champion’s rebound, and hopeful that this news is indication that things are looking up.
